Must have 5-7+ years of Industry Experience.
Must have hands on experience administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in enterprise or regulated environments.
Must have strong knowledge of OCI core services, including IAM, compartments, networking (VCN, subnets, gateways), compute, and storage.
Must have proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform and/or OCI Resource Manager.
Must have solid understanding of cloud security principles, including least privilege access, encryption, OCI Vault, and Cloud Guard.
Must have experience with IP address management and CIDR planning, including support for hybrid connectivity (VPN/FastConnect).
Must have operational experience with monitoring, logging, and auditing, including OCI Monitoring, Logging, and Audit services.
Must have prior experience mentoring and/ or coaching junior resources.
Ability to diagnose and resolve infrastructure and connectivity issues across cloud and hybrid environments.
Familiarity with cloud cost management and governance practices, including budgets, and cost optimization.
Experience collaborating with cross functional teams (network, security, application, and database teams).
Strong documentation and communication skills to support operational procedures, standards, and change management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications or Degrees Required: BA/BS or AAS and/or combination of equivalent experience.
Must have Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification. They are expected to share knowledge with the Client s team on Oracle Cloud Administration and OCI Governance best practices.
Job Summary
Requires a resource to support our newly formed Oracle Cloud Administration team. In this hands-on role, you will work with the team to administer the complete Oracle Cloud stack including SaaS, PaaS, OIC, and OCI layers. This includes sharing knowledge with the Westfield team on Oracle Cloud Administration and OCI Governance best practices.
Work Requirements Objectives & Scope:
- Administer and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments across development, test, and production compartments.
- Design, implement, and maintain OCI governance structures including compartments, IAM policies, dynamic groups, and tagging standards.
- Provision and manage OCI resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OCI Resource Manager), ensuring repeatable and compliant deployments.
- Configure and maintain OCI networking components including VCNs, subnets, route tables, gateways, security lists, and network security groups.
- Perform CIDR and IP address planning to support scalable, non overlapping network architectures, including hybrid connectivity.
- Manage OCI Compute services including VM instances, boot volumes, block volumes, autoscaling, and OS patching strategies.
- Administer OCI storage services including Object Storage, ATP databases, lifecycle policies, backups, and data retention controls.
- Implement and enforce security best practices leveraging OCI Vault, encryption, least privilege IAM, and Security Zones where applicable.
- Configure and monitor OCI Cloud Guard, Vulnerability Scanning, and security alerts; assist with remediation and incident response activities.
- Monitor system performance and availability using OCI Monitoring, Logging, and Alarms; troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Manage hybrid connectivity solutions including VPN and FastConnect, coordinating with network and security teams as required.
- Support cost governance activities including budget configuration, usage monitoring, and cost optimization recommendations.
- Review and analyze OCI Audit logs to support compliance, troubleshooting, and operational audits.
- Coordinate change management activities for OCI infrastructure changes, following established ITSM approval and documentation processes.
- Collaborate with application, database, security, and network teams to ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with enterprise standards and workload requirements.
- Support disaster recovery and high availability designs, including backup strategies and multi region considerations as appropriate.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to OCI architecture, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
- Provide operational support, including on call or escalation support as defined by service requirements.
- Assist with cloud migration initiatives, including assessment, resource provisioning, and postmigration stabilization.
- Stay current with OCI service updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve platform reliability and governance.
- Conduct knowledge transfer with the Westfield team to improve skill level and maturity.
