Position Overview Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer for an overnight healthcare assignment in Grand Junction. This position supports a medical environment by helping maintain a safe, controlled, and professional atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors during overnight operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and capable of remaining calm while responding to incidents or unexpected situations in a healthcare setting. Strong communication skills and professionalism are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct routine foot patrols throughout the property to identify safety or security concerns
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems during assigned shifts
- Verify identification and manage visitor access procedures
- Maintain accurate visitor logs and monitor entry and exit activity
- Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, or suspicious behavior
- Complete clear and detailed incident reports, activity logs, and shift documentation
- Assist employees, visitors, and medical staff with questions or security-related concerns
- Enforce property rules, post orders, and site-specific procedures
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the facility
Minimum Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass background screening and site-specific requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain alert and professional during overnight shifts
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
Required Certifications & Client Requirements Candidates must meet all site-specific healthcare compliance requirements, including:
- Hepatitis B Vaccination
- TB Skin Test
- MMR Vaccination
- TDap Vaccination
- Varicella Titer
- Current Flu Vaccination
- Respiratory Fit Test
- ACT Training Certification
Preferred Qualifications - Previous healthcare or hospital security experience
- Experience monitoring CCTV and access control systems
- Strong report writing and documentation skills
- Ability to manage situations calmly and professionally
