Job Title: Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:

• We are seeking a Technical Specialist Expert that will function as an On-Premise Business Intelligence Developer/Microsoft Power BI Developer, for both internal (Business Units) and external (public facing, citizen based) Dashboards and Reports.
• This role will support the client's ongoing need for departmental dashboarding, visualization, and reporting.
• This roles primary focus is to guide business data owners in defining, measuring and analyzing processes to identify improvement and communication opportunities. 
• This contractor will understand and incorporate existing design standards into new dashboarding standards for the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• The complexity of these responsibilities is essential to the client and have strict legislatively mandated deadlines. That said, this Power BI Developer plays a crucial role in ensuring these legislative deadlines are not delayed.
• Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop, maintain and manage dashboards and reports in Power BI Desktop and deploy as directed to Power BI Server
• Create Data Sources in Power BI Server and manage the certification, update process, and other key data management features
• Develop Technical requirements and solution documents from functional specifications
• Assist with training documentation and knowledge transfer to colleagues 

Preferred:

• Role requires at least 7 years’ experience and proven expertise in Power BI dashboarding, visualization, and reporting 
• Government experience preferable
