Summary

We are looking for QA Automation Engineer - Remote / Telecommute for our client in San Jose, CA

Job Title: QA Automation Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

Job Location: San Jose, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $40hr - $45hr

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java-based technologies.
Develop automated test scripts for APIs and services using REST-based tools.
Create and maintain test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Identify, log, and track defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
Ensure comprehensive end-to-end test coverage for critical workflows.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing execution.
Perform both automation and functional testing as required.

Experience:

Strong experience in QA automation using Java.
Hands-on experience with API testing and automation frameworks.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute automated and manual test cases.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality deliverables.
Maintain and enhance automation frameworks.
Monitor and report on test execution and defects.

Should Have:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to perform both automation and functional testing.

Skills:

Proficiency in Java and automation frameworks.
Experience with API testing tools and methodologies.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration.
Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
