Sr. Application Specialist (PHP)
Our client is seeking a Senior Application Specialistto join their company for a contract-to-hire position that is remote. The Application Specialist will focus on building and maintaining PHP-based applications and deep integrations with e-commerce, VoIP, and ticketing platforms that power core business workflows.

- Location: Remote, Eastern Time Zone business hours
- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $50-60/hr plus benefits

What You ll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting booking, inventory, pricing, and supplier operations
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
- Develop scalable, high-availability solutions to support global customers and partners
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality and consistency
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a customer-facing environment
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions for new features and system enhancements
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
What Gets You the Job:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in PHP (Code Igniter/Laravel framework)
- Experience building web-based (HMTL/CSS/Javascript) and API-driven applications
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) experience with data modeling
- Experience working with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with e-commerce and/or reservation systems (Plus)
- Experience with Zoho, Ring Central, and/or Clarifysoft (Plus)
- Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding standards
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud Platform)
