Systems Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to evaluate, enhance, and streamline an existing Windows-based server infrastructure. This role involves working with server configurations, Active Directory, and implementing best practices for a mixed Windows and macOS environment. This is a contract position based in Westlake, Ohio.

Responsibilities:
Assess the current Windows Server setup and implement improvements to ensure optimal performance.
Manage and refine Domain Controller and File Server functionalities.
Provide technical support for a mixed environment of Windows and macOS endpoints.
Collaborate with internal technical staff to test and troubleshoot systems while facilitating knowledge sharing.
Deliver expert recommendations and insights to management regarding infrastructure upgrades and optimizations.

Requirements

Extensive experience in deploying and supporting Windows Server in production environments.
Proficiency in Active Directory and file services, with a strong grasp of infrastructure best practices.
Ability to analyze and remediate systems that were not initially configured to industry standards.
Self-driven with the ability to work independently while leveraging support from technical teams.
Previous experience in managing mixed Windows and macOS environments.
Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Citrix technologies is preferred.
