About the Role a Senior Tech Lead – Data Engineering for a long-term engagement with a leading healthcare client. You will own the technical direction of a data engineering team, design and deliver scalable cloud data platforms, and act as the hands-on escalation point for architecture, performance, and delivery decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and optimization of data pipelines and data platforms on AWS and Snowflake
• Set technical standards, review code and designs, and mentor a team of data engineers
• Translate business and analytics requirements into robust data architecture and delivery plans
• Own performance tuning, cost optimization, data quality, and reliability of the platform
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, and project managers across an Agile delivery model
• Drive CI/CD, automation, and engineering best practices across the team

Required Skills

• 10+ years in data engineering with 3+ years in a tech lead or lead engineer capacity
• Deep hands-on expertise with Snowflake, advanced SQL, and Python
• Strong AWS experience (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Step Functions, IAM, or equivalent)
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven track record leading teams on enterprise-scale data platforms
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Healthcare / payer / provider data experience (claims, EHR, HL7, FHIR, HIPAA) is a strong plus
• Snowflake Cortex AI, Streamlit, or ML/AI integration experience
