Job#: 3021203 Job Description: Apex Systems is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to work onsite in Kings Point, NY for 3+ days per week.
Responsibilities:- Design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze and maintain networks.
- Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN/DMZ/Wireless networks and related services.
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks, applications and appliances.
- Design, plan, establish, and optimize wireless networks.
- Firewall and VPN configuration, management, and analysis
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of experience
- Minimum one of the following certifications; CCNA or CCNP, ITIL v3 certification
- Hands on experience in a structured environment implementing and administrating network devices, setting and maintaining policies
- Experience in configuring Cisco switches and routers
- Experience in Aruba's architecture that includes Wireless and Network Access Control.
- Knowledge of Nutanix Prism, Acropolis hypervisor management
- Working experience in government environment utilizing NIST and FISMA.
- Network access security tools experience
- MS Server Active Directory and Group Policy Management experience
- PowerShell scripting and implementation skills
- Experience with Level 2 and Level 3 resolution in a Windows Server and Win 11 environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation
- Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis and network optimization skills
- Team player; willing and able to drive collaborative efforts across the organization to improve product quality, reduce expense, and increase productivity
