Location: Charlotte, Dallas, Phoenix, Minneapolis, or Des Moines (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract Length: 12 Months (Possible Conversion to FTE)
Pay Rate: $61 - $65/hr (OT40)

The Systems Operations Engineer 4 will serve as a senior technical contributor supporting complex, large-scale Systems Operations Engineering initiatives. This role involves evaluating multi-faceted system challenges, developing strategic solutions, and partnering across engineering and leadership teams to ensure high-reliability operations. The engineer will leverage observability tools, SRE best practices, automation, cloud-native technologies, and ITSM processes to optimize system performance and contribute to enterprise-wide operational strategies. This position also requires on-call support and the ability to work a hybrid schedule.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Review and analyze complex Systems Operations Engineering challenges across long-term and large-scale initiatives
Leverage observability tools (BigPanda, ThousandEyes, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics) to monitor and enhance service reliability
Support incident, problem, and change management processes through ITSM frameworks
Work with RHEL, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift in production environments
Apply SRE principles to maintain and improve production-grade systems
Support cloud-native architectures, high-availability environments, and containerized workloads
Build and maintain automation solutions using Ansible Tower (playbooks, workflows)
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leadership on complex operational solutions
Lead cross-functional initiatives and provide strategic technical guidance
Participate in on-call rotation and support ad-hoc operational needs
Deliver work within Agile/Scrum environments and support continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and operational standards
