Job Description

You will be the Sustainment Engineer - Target Sight Systems (TSS) for the Obsolescence Management team. Our team safeguards the life cycle of the TSS product line, delivering integrated logistics, sustainment planning, and risk based solutions that keep our customers field ready while respecting technical, schedule and cost constraints.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Sustainment Engineer you will own the end to end obsolescence program for TSS, translating customer and product requirements into actionable mitigation strategies. You'll serve as the primary logistics liaison, mentor stakeholders on system design, and act as the internal bridge between design, support and concept teams.

Your responsibilities will include:
Systematically identify, assess and mitigate component obsolescence risks across the TSS system.
Define DMSMS thresholds, evaluate related risks, and drive analysis to select cost effective mitigation pathways.
Build and maintain models tracking historical failure rates, parts consumption, obsolescence trends and Last Time Buy (LTB) needs.
Create clear visual forecasts of obsolescence and sustainment to illustrate lifecycle risks for subsystems and components.
Partner with cross functional groups to devise solutions for End of Life (EOL) parts, minimizing production and sustainment disruption.
Analyze "life of need" data-failure rates, performance periods, subsystem longevity-to support production and sustainment stakeholders.
Communicate case status, issues and recommendations to management and customers through reports, engineering change requests and presentations.
Provide training and expert advice on system design, specifications and logistics to customers and internal teams.
Travel as required to support customers, field sites and partner facilities.
