Mulesoft Architect / Sr. Engineer

Mulesoft Architecture/lead experience
SAP S4/Hana
Mulesoft Sr. Role – not just a couple APIs. Having stood up Mulesoft, owned Mulesoft domain.
SAP Familiarity – pref. S4/Hana
Leadership skills – communicate, influence, manage time and work. Starting core work end of June. Will start doing KT, specifics on project etc.
Have you developed APIs, will be a lot of net new APIs & integration points that aren’t Mulesoft now but will be moving into that
JD:
• Lead the architecture and delivery of the MuleSoft integration platform supporting the SAP S/4HANA migration program, ensuring all existing Mule APIs are successfully migrated or adapted to support S/4.
• Define and implement API-led connectivity architecture using MuleSoft to enable seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA, enterprise applications, and external systems.
• Collaborate closely with SAP implementation teams, business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to coordinate integration design, API migration strategy, and system dependencies during the S/4 transformation.
• Take end-to-end ownership of integration migration activities and ensure successful deployment to Production.
• Lead the assessment and rationalization of existing Mule APIs and integrations, identifying required changes to support SAP S/4HANA data models, services, and business processes.
• Define and manage integration migration roadmaps, including API redesign, versioning strategies, backward compatibility, and phased rollout during S/4 deployment.
• Provide recommendations for modernizing SAP integrations where applicable.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight during development, testing, and deployment of MuleSoft integrations supporting SAP S/4.
• Partner with SAP functional teams to understand business process changes and ensure MuleSoft integrations support the future-state enterprise architecture.
• Design custom MuleSoft frameworks or policies as needed.
• Prepare solution design documents, architecture diagrams and integration specifications.
• Define high-level migration strategies and transition plans for existing integrations to align with the S/4HANA architecture and enterprise API strategy.
• Monitor industry trends in integration platforms, APIs, and SAP integration technologies, recommending innovations that enhance scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor MuleSoft developers and integration engineers, providing architectural guidance and fostering best practices across integration teams.
• Review MuleSoft code and integration implementations to ensure performance and scalability.
• Drive digital innovation by leveraging MuleSoft capabilities such as Anypoint Platform, reusable APIs, event-driven integrations, and automation to modernize enterprise connectivity.
