Summary

Description:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join an agile product team responsible for building and enhancing modern, scalable applications. This is a hands-on engineering role with a 50/50 split between backend Java services and Angular-based front-end development.

You will work closely with product owners, squad leadership, UX, and fellow engineers to design, build, deploy, and support high-quality solutions that support critical business initiatives. In addition to technical delivery, this role plays a key part in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to architectural and engineering best practices.

Please note: Candidates must be local to Westlake, TX, as both interview rounds and the role itself is 50% hybrid on site.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $65.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based RESTful middle-tier services using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
Build and enhance Angular (TypeScript) user interfaces
Define and implement application-level architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
Deploy applications to cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployments (e.g., Jenkins)
Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team on backlog refinement, story execution, and sprint ceremonies
Participate in production support, troubleshooting, and application performance tuning
Ensure QA readiness, including unit testing and test automation practices
Create and maintain clear technical documentation

Experience Requirements:

10+ years of professional software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Angular and TypeScript
- RESTful service design
- CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools
- Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- SQL and relational databases
- Source control and pull request workflows (GitHub or similar)
- Experience leading or contributing to architecture and design decisions
- Experience working across multiple teams and mentoring engineers
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks
- Apache Camel experience is a plus but not required

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
AWS certification (preferred).
