Job Location Casa Grande, Arizona -60% on site in Casa Grande, Arizona. Preferably they would be based in AZ or surrounding states - If they are not local, they need to be able to travel and onsite Mon-Thur. Travel is comped.

1. Deep SAP S4 HANA Expertise (EAM Module)
Core Knowledge
- Strong understanding of SAP S4 HANA, specifically the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) module.
- Knowledge of:
- Asset hierarchies
- Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules
- Parts master data
- Inventory management
- Purchasing processes within EAM
System Flow Understanding
- Critical understanding of how data flows through SAP.
- Awareness of how maintenance, inventory, and purchasing modules interact.
Malleability Awareness
- Recognition that SAP is highly configurable.
- Ability to quickly learn client-specific configurations that may deviate from standard usage.
2. Data Analysis and Identification of Discrepancies
Navigation Skills
- Ability to efficiently navigate SAP to locate data outages or inaccuracies (e.g., incorrect asset assignments, missing BOMs, wrong locations).
Problem Identification
- Ability to identify incorrect data within SAP and determine what the correct data should be.
3. Liaison and Communication
Interfacing with HQ Experts
- Communicate effectively with HQ SAP experts (MCOE team, Prometheus team).
- Understand their processes, requirements, and approval workflows for large-scale data changes.
Plant-Level Communication
- Strong communication skills with plant personnel (maintenance, parts room staff).
- Ability to understand plant-level needs, challenges, and workflows.
Bridging the Gap
- Serve as a bridge between plant operations and corporate SAP governance teams.
4. Allowable System Changes / Modifications
Site-Level Modifications
- Ability to make allowable, real-time SAP changes at the site level (structure, nomenclature, data elements).
- Understanding of access boundaries and what requires HQ approval.
Understanding Governance
- Awareness of governance processes (e.g., MDOS Prometheus) that dictate how SAP changes are made and approved.
5. Process Acumen (SAP Integration)
Process Improvement
- Understand how physical processes (parts receiving, checkout, etc.) integrate with and impact SAP.
Workflow Design
- Ability to design or refine workflows that ensure SAP data integrity (e.g., PO creation, inventory depletion, new part assignment).
Work Expectations
1. On-Site Presence and “Heavy Lifting” Support
- Significant on-site work at the Casa Grande plant.
- Collaborate directly with plant staff to understand day-to-day challenges.
- While PM2 may handle physical tagging/bagging, the SAP expert ensures these activities are accurately reflected in SAP.
2. Data Cleanup and Infrastructure Correction
- Clean up existing “garbage” data in SAP that is hindering operations.
- Correct the EAM hierarchy by ensuring correct BOMs and PMs are attached to the right equipment.

3. Liaison for Complex Changes
- Serve as the plant’s point person for interacting with the HQ MCOE team on large data dumps and hierarchy changes.
- Understand outputs from national team spreadsheet efforts (e.g., corrected hierarchies) and ensure proper integration into the plant’s SAP environment.
4. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting
- Address issues that fall back to the plant for correction within SAP.
- Navigate complex SAP processes such as:
- 34-step part obsolescence process
- MDOS Prometheus approval process
- Facilitate necessary changes and identify bottlenecks.
