Top Requirements (Must Have):
5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, supporting complex, enterprise-scale initiatives.Proven experience working in large-scale data environments.Hands-on data engineering experience with cloud data platforms, including:- Spark-based ingestion and processing
- Python / PySpark
- Kafka, Flink, and Spark Streaming
3+ years of experience designing and building data lakehouse architectures, including:- Google Cloud Storage
- BigQuery
- Dataproc
- Cloud Composer / Airflow
Demonstrable, recent experience with AI-driven data engineering, including:- LangChain
- LangGraph / ADK
- Agentic frameworks
- RAG / GraphRAG

Ability to operate and lead within a matrixed, Agile environment.Plusses (Desired Qualifications):

Lead Cloud Data Platform Engineer to help build and scale a
modern, AI-enabled cloud data platform supporting the Cybersecurity Data Ecosystem. This role is a senior, hands-on engineering position responsible for developing advanced data products, enabling AI-based automation, and leading the adoption of modern data technologies. The engineer will be a key contributor to the migration from on-prem platforms to a hybrid cloud environment and will play a visible leadership role across data engineering and product teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Implement and operationalize AI-enabled data capabilities on Google Cloud
- Design and build scalable pipelines to ingest, transform, and distribute large datasets
- Leverage agentic AI frameworks to automate:
- Data management
- Data governance
- Metadata and data quality processes
- Data compliance and consumption workflows
- Develop streaming and batch data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, Spark, and PySpark
- Partner with principal engineers, product managers, and data engineers to roadmap, plan, and deliver prioritized capabilities
- Provide hands-on leadership during cloud migration initiatives
- Drive innovation and technology adoption across the data engineering organization
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence and modern best practices
