Summary

Job Title: NOC Wireless Engineer

Location-Remote

Role Overview:

We are looking for a NOC (Network Operations Center) Wireless Engineer to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless network infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high network availability, performance, and quick resolution of incidents in a 24/7 operations environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor wireless network performance and availability from the NOC
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Wi-Fi, RF signals, and connectivity
  • Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests within SLA timelines
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Configure and support wireless devices such as access points, controllers, and antennas
  • Work with network teams to optimize coverage and performance
  • Maintain logs, incident reports, and network documentation
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level engineering teams
  • Ensure compliance with operational and security standards
  • Support network upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Electronics, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in NOC or wireless networking
  • Strong understanding of wireless networking concepts (802.11 standards, RF fundamentals)
  • Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
  • Familiarity with wireless tools and monitoring systems
  • Hands-on experience with wireless equipment (Cisco, Aruba, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Willingness to work in shifts (24/7 NOC environment)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator)
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
  • Knowledge of RF survey tools and spectrum analysis
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge
