OverviewIES is looking for a
hands-on Lead Security Technician to support large-scale data center and high-tech (including semiconductor) projects. This role combines technical execution with field leadership-ideal for someone who can lead crews while actively working on system installations and integrations.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Field Execution- Lead installation of:
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV / Camera Systems
- Intrusion Detection Systems (Bosch preferred)
- Perform terminations, panel work, and system bring-up
- Ensure all work aligns with project drawings, specs, and site standards
Team Leadership- Act as the lead technician on-site, directing daily crew activities
- Coordinate labor, workflow, and task execution
- Mentor and guide junior technicians
- Maintain high productivity, quality, and safety standards
Pre-Task Planning & Coordination- Participate in and help lead pre-task planning meetings
- Conduct site walks with supervisors and general contractors
- Ensure materials, tools, and manpower are ready before work begins
- Coordinate with other trades to avoid delays and conflicts
Commissioning Support- Support Level 3-4 commissioning activities
- Assist with system testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Work closely with engineers, superintendents, and commissioning teams
Systems Integration- Work with platforms such as:
- Lenel S2
- Honeywell Pro-Watch
- SeCore
- Bosch Intrusion Systems
- Troubleshoot system communication, device, and network issues
Documentation & Process- Maintain:
- Daily reports and progress updates
- Material tracking
- Redlines and installation documentation
- Follow structured quality control and project tracking processes
Required Experience- 3+ years of lead-level experience in physical security systems
- Strong Experience in:
- CCTV / cameras
- Access control
- Intrusion systems
- Door contacts
- Experience on large-scale, fast-paced construction projects (data center or semiconductor preferred)
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage field execution

Preferred Qualifications- Experience in data centers or semiconductor facilities
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Manufacturer certifications (Lenel S2, Genetec, Bosch, Honeywell, etc.)
- Experience working under major general contractors
Pay RangeAdditional Details- Drug test required
- Interview process: Panel interview with PM and Technical Superintendent

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
