Data Scientist

Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the advancement of AI and data initiatives. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement machine learning models using Python and Databricks to address complex business challenges.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and deliver actionable insights.

Work within open architectures to design and execute scalable data solutions.

Participate in leadership meetings, effectively communicating technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Mentor and support team members to enhance overall technical and business-facing capabilities.

Utilize tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka for efficient data processing and analysis.

Design and execute ETL workflows to ensure robust data transformation and integration.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science practices and methodologies.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in AI and machine learning to maintain a competitive edge.

Assist in bridging skills gaps within the team by providing expertise and guidance.

Requirements

Proficiency in Python and experience with Databricks.
Strong knowledge of Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
Hands-on experience with ETL processes, including data transformation and integration.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders.
Solid understanding of machine learning principles and open architecture systems.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members.
Experience in a business-facing role, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
A passion for advancing AI and data technologies within a dynamic organization.
