About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex, high-impact programs for a major healthcare client. This role will drive strategic initiatives, oversee cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of programs that improve healthcare operations, patient outcomes, patient care delivery, compliance, and/or digital transformation in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep program management expertise in healthcare, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale programs on time and within budget. Local Minneapolis-area candidates are strongly preferred to support client collaboration and on-site requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end program management for multiple concurrent healthcare initiatives, including planning, execution, risk management, and closure.
Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with client business goals and healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS, etc.).
Build and manage high-performing cross-functional teams, including internal resources, client stakeholders, vendors, and third-party partners.
Develop and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and status reporting using tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar.
Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues; implement effective change management and contingency plans.
Facilitate executive-level steering committee meetings, provide clear status updates, and present program progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Drive continuous improvement by applying healthcare industry best practices, process optimization, and lessons learned across programs.
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, data privacy regulations, and quality requirements throughout program lifecycle.
Foster strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for program-related matters.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications.
Experience in health system or hospital environments.
Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, or other major EHR platforms.
Track record of delivering programs in a regulated, high-stakes healthcare setting.
