JOB DESCRIPTION:
Required Qualifications
• SQL skills with experience querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Experience documenting business processes, reports, and data logic.
• Communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in insurance, financial services, or other highly analytical industries.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience performing report audits, inventory assessments, or reporting modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and reporting best practices.
• Experience with Power Query, DAX, and Power BI performance optimization.

• Reduce reporting complexity and duplication across Product Analytics.

• Increase adoption of standardized Power BI reporting solutions.

Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting Rationalization & Simplification
• Inventory and assess existing reporting assets, dashboards, data extracts, and recurring deliverables.
• Identify redundant, overlapping, or low-value reports and recommend consolidation opportunities.
• Document report purpose, stakeholders, usage, data sources, business logic, and key metrics.
• Partner with business and analytics teams to simplify reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
• Support migration of legacy reporting into standardized Power BI solutions.
Data Analysis & Insights
• Perform exploratory data analysis to validate metrics and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries used for reporting, monitoring, and ad hoc analysis.
• Identify data quality issues and collaborate with data engineering teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support ongoing business questions and analytics requests from Product, Underwriting, Distribution, and Leadership teams.
Power BI Development
• Design, build, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create intuitive visualizations and KPI scorecards that improve business decision making.
• Develop reusable semantic models, measures, and reporting standards.
• Optimize report performance and usability.
Process Improvement & Documentation
• Establish documentation standards for reporting assets.
• Create data dictionaries and report inventories.
• Recommend opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.
• Support governance efforts by promoting consistency in metric definitions and reporting practices.
Position Summary
These individuals will focus on identifying, documenting, rationalizing, and simplifying existing reporting across the organization while helping modernize reporting processes and improve data accessibility.
