Job#: 3027895 Job Description: Apex Systems is looking to hire an
ONSITE Embedded Software Development Engineer for our client based out of
Grimes, IA.This assignment is anticipated to be a
12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, deploy, and support embedded software for electronic products
- Record, track, and drive software defects to resolution
- Investigate and resolve software issues in a timely manner
- Ensure quality embedded software and electrical components for on-highway vehicle systems
- Develop model-based embedded software using MATLAB/Simulink
- Interface with cross-functional stakeholders to define and meet software requirements
Experience:- 3+ years of experience using MATLAB/Simulink in an embedded environment
- Experience with CAN J1939 and other vehicle communication protocols
- Knowledge of embedded software development processes and programming techniques
- Experience debugging embedded systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with HIL or SIL testing is a plus
- Prior on-highway or automotive industry experience preferred
- Experience with C/C++, ANSI C, and model-based software design preferred
