Technical Writer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jersey City, NJ that is seeking a Technical Writer to help organize, standardize, and improve out technical documentation.

Summary:
The Technical Writer will work with engineers, tech leads and subject matter experts to gather information, clean up existing documentation, identify gaps, and create clear, consistent, easy-to-maintain materials. Responsibilities include documenting system designs, processes, workflows, APIs, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge transfer materials. The candidate should be able to translate complex technical information into practical documentation that can be easily understood and used by development, support, and business teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong writing and editing skills
* Ability to organize scattered information
* Experience working with software engineering teams
* Understanding of APIs, Databases, system architecture
* Ability to create diagrams, process flows, and structured documentation
* Attention to detail and consistency
* Comfortable interviewing tech teams and asking clarifying questions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
