AVP of Technology

Description

We are looking for an experienced AVP of Technology to join our team in Midland, Texas. This leadership role is ideal for a proactive and hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving impactful projects. The successful candidate will oversee technical operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the seamless integration of technology solutions to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring systems and networks run efficiently and securely.
Oversee project planning and execution, delivering technology solutions that align with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement and optimize IT systems and processes.
Provide technical leadership in areas such as network security, system administration, and hardware/software management.
Develop and enforce security policies, manage patch updates, and address vulnerabilities to safeguard organizational data.
Administer tools and platforms such as Microsoft 365, Fortinet firewalls, Meraki, and other security technologies.
Manage scripting tasks using languages like PowerShell or Python to automate processes and improve efficiency.
Monitor and maintain antivirus control software, ensuring systems are protected against threats.
Prioritize and escalate technical issues, providing timely resolutions to meet user expectations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices across all IT operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Strong expertise in IT security, network administration, and system maintenance.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and platforms.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Meraki, firewalls, and SD-WAN technologies.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
