Description
PNC is looking to add a ServiceNow Architect to serve as the design authority for IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) capabilities across the enterprise. This role is responsible for defining architecture, establishing standards, and governing implementation, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices and ServiceNow’s Common Service Data Model (CSDM). The architect will lead enterprise design decisions for Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB, partnering with platform teams, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted configuration data, scalable automation, and improved operational resilience.
- Key Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture & Design Authority · Serve as the authoritative owner for ITOM and CMDB architectural design · Define and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails · Review, approve, and govern solution designs for alignment with ServiceNow and CSDM best practices CMDB Architecture & Data Strategy · Define CMDB data models, CI class strategy, and relationship patterns · Govern CSDM alignment across Foundational, Design, and Manage Technical Services domains · Establish data ownership, stewardship, and quality frameworks ITOM Strategy & Enablement · Architect enterprise‑scale approaches for Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management · Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams rather than performing routine configuration work Integration & Automation Architecture · Design scalable integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and IntegrationHub · Define integration patterns, security models, and performance standards Governance, Risk, & Compliance · Define and enforce governance frameworks for ITOM and CMDB · Establish ACL, security, and compliance standards in partnership with security teams Technical Leadership · Produce architecture diagrams, standards documentation, and reusable frameworks · Mentor developers and administrators by providing architectural direction and design oversight · Act as escalation point for complex architectural and design decisions · Provides well thought-out solutions and provides stakeholder guidance. The ability to translate technical terminology into business speak is required.
