Overview
Seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Architect to support and administer the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment. This role focuses on Teradata platform administration, performance tuning, security, upgrades, disaster recovery, and enterprise-level data warehousing support for state government systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support EDW platforms across Production, Test, and DR environments.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain EDW architecture and platform services.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve performance and scalability issues.
  • Coordinate Teradata upgrades, patching, and vendor release management.
  • Provide guidance on OS-level configuration, security, and platform optimization.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution strategies.
  • Manage workload optimization, resource allocation, and system health monitoring.
  • Collaborate with vendors, DBAs, and enterprise technical teams.
  • Support ETL processes and enterprise analytics/data warehousing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with security and federal standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, IRS 1075).

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with Teradata database administration and architecture.
  • Experience with:
    • Teradata upgrades, provisioning, and maintenance
    • Scripting (BASH, Perl, Python, Glink)
    • Teradata Viewpoint and TTU tools
    • PSIM monitoring and system health management
    • Workload management and performance tuning
    • Backup and recovery processes
    • ETL and data warehousing concepts
  • Strong Unix/Linux administration experience.
  • Experience in performance optimization and resource management.
  • Knowledge of cloud fundamentals (preferably Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience with security, audits, and compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, IRS 1075, etc.).

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of enterprise data warehousing and analytics systems.
  • Experience working in large-scale government or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of statistics and data analysis concepts.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors on upgrades and production support activities.
