Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer - Hybrid (3 days/week) position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate is a seasoned full-stack developer with deep expertise in API design, implementation, and integration across distributed systems. This role involves building and maintaining responsive, user-centric web interfaces while developing scalable backend services that integrate reliably with enterprise platforms. The position requires a strong background in Java-based application development, service-oriented and microservice architectures, and hands-on experience with database design and optimization.
Responsibilities: - Build and maintain responsive, user-centric web interfaces
- Develop scalable backend services and API-driven solutions using Java
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservice-based solutions
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to architecture discussions
- Develop UI components and backend APIs with robust database interaction
- Implement automated testing frameworks, including unit, functional, regression, and user-acceptance testing
- Translate business and platform requirements into clear, actionable technical designs
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
Requirements: - 6+ years of overall IT and software engineering experience
- 4+ years of experience designing and building API-driven services
- Strong hands-on experience with Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework)
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures in Java
- Experience with distributed systems (resiliency, fault tolerance, scalability) and cloud-native application architecture
- Experience with backend data access (JPA/Hibernate, SQL/NoSQL integration)
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with modern standards such as HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React)
- Strong background in database schema design, performance tuning, and optimization
- Proficiency with Git and modern source-control workflows
- Hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week
Desired skills: - Experience with Python
- Experience with Ansible, MongoDB, REDIS, or PostgreSQL
- Experience with enterprise automation and orchestration platforms (e.g., Ansible, BMC TrueSight Orchestrator)
- Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL processes
- Familiarity with automated testing methodologies, particularly with tools such as TOSCA
- Experience with JIRA
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
