Job Overview:
Pay Range: $55.00hr - $60.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- 3 to 8+ years of software quality assurance experience with a strong primary focus on API test automation.
- Proven, hands-on experience building and maintaining test scripts using the Karate framework.
- Solid understanding of programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Groovy.
- Deep knowledge of REST/SOAP protocols, JSON, XML, and testing utility tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps and version control systems like Git.
- Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum processes, STLC, and BDD principles.
Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and maintain robust automated test scripts using the Karate framework for API validation, functional testing, and integration testing.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing automation frameworks to maximize reusability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Embed automated test suites into continuous integration and delivery pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Work closely with software engineers and business analysts to translate acceptance criteria into clear BDD scenarios and automated test cases.
- Identify, log, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
- Validate RESTful and SOAP services, JSON/XML payloads, and perform database checks using SQL where necessary.
