Summary

Shift: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $28.00 an hour

Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, you will support the Mankato manufacturing facility by developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety and quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and Safe Quality Food requirements.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and train team members on food safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Perform routine inspections, internal audits, gap assessments, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory and plant standards.
  • Serve as document controller for food safety and quality systems, including maintaining, writing, and reviewing standard operating procedures and related documentation.
  • Review production and regulatory records for product release, including critical control point and process preventive control documentation.
  • Lead and support Safe Quality Food, regulatory, customer, and internal audits while driving corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with operations and cross functional teams to identify gaps, troubleshoot quality issues, and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety programs.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to team members while leading programs such as cross checks, environmental monitoring, sensory evaluation, and data systems support.
  • Serve as backup to the Plant Quality Manager, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring continuity of quality systems and decision-making.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • 2+ years\' experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment with knowledge of regulatory standards
  • 1+ years of experience conducting audits, performing risk assessments, and managing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point and food safety plans.
  • Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to partner across all levels of the organization.

  • Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.

  • Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.
