About the position

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will be part of a team focused on expanding the enterprise level capabilities and experience for our Commerce platform. Your experience building resilient, scalable services coupled with expertise using API's and cloud native technologies will help craft innovative solutions to meet our business goals. As a senior engineer, you will work on our product team alongside our product manager, solutions architect and other engineers to design, build and implement services and applications.

What you will do - Essential responsibilities
  • Develop Azure cloud solutions for web apps, services, functions and other key cloud platform components.
  • Implement continuous integration and DevOps practices, including automated testing.
  • Develop industry leading monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Create technical and support artifacts for applications and integrations.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as the support expert for team owned platforms and applications.

Qualifications and requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
  • Strong teamwork skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication required.
  • 5+ years of application development experience required.

Software Specific Qualifications and Requirements

Experience in the following required:
  • Frontend development experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern patterns.
  • Experience working with UI/UX and collaborating with designers
  • Experience with API design and development required.
  • Hands on programming using C# .Net Core+ required.
  • Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies.
  • Experience in integrating cloud-based technologies and solutions.
  • Experiencing scripting Infrastructure as code in a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Knowledge of JSON and XML concepts, frameworks, and standards.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • REST API design.

Experience in the following preferred:
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or Docker preferred.
  • 5+ years of technology experience in a business environment preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases, SQL and NoSQL knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway technologies preferred.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond Midtown or Plano Tech hub and have a Hybrid work arrangement.
  • Associates based in Richmond work on-site 4 days per week.
  • Associates based in Plano work onsite 2 days per week.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will not be considered for this specific role.
