Job Title: Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures across our cloud environments. This role is responsible for embedding security best practices into cloud infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD pipelines while partnering closely with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to reduce risk and strengthen our overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security architectures across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform

• Develop and enforce cloud security standards, policies, and best practices

• Secure cloud-native services, including compute, storage, networking, containers, and serverless workloads

• Implement identity and access management (IAM), least-privilege access, and secrets management

• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)

• Monitor cloud environments for threats, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities

• Lead cloud security incident response, investigation, and remediation

• Perform cloud security risk assessments and threat modeling

• Support compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR)

• Evaluate and deploy cloud security tools such as CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, and SIEM solutions

• Mentor junior engineers and provide security guidance to development teams

• Stay current on emerging cloud security threats, tools, and technologies

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in information security, with 3+ years focused on cloud security

• Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, encryption, and key management

• Experience securing containers and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.)

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)

• Experience with security monitoring, logging, and incident response

• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CCSP)

• Experience with zero trust architectures

• Knowledge of threat detection and response in cloud environments

• Experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing

• Prior experience in regulated or highly secure environments
