OverviewDepartment 440: Payload Launch Control Systems Engineering group supporting SEAWOLF, VIRGINIA and COLUMBIA programs. We are a systems engineering team supporting special project submarine programs. The systems engineering team is responsible for the development and maintenance of unique one-of-a-kind submarines.
The position requires an engineer to lead Government vendors, sub-contractors and other GDEB departments in the development and maintenance of a complex submarine test and training asset. The position requires travel in the United States approximately once a quarter for a week with the potential to be more frequent. System engineers perform many diverse tasks during the project life cycle.

In this position you may be performing job duties on a boat and/or in the shipyard.
This position is on-site only in Groton, CT.
QualificationsRequired:- B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- 5 plus years post-graduate related engineering experience
- Current DOD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret (SCI eligible) security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred:- Current DOD Top Secret (SCI eligible) security clearance
- Experience in submarine electronics system development, integration, installation and test
- Engineering project management experience
- Experience in network and clustered computing design
Skills- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
- Experience Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Project
- Demonstrated effective engineering project management including budget management, resources and schedule
- Demonstrated ability to perform engineering tasks/projects
- Experience working successfully both in a team environment and independently.
