Engineering Leader AI-Driven Delivery & Cloud Modernization

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Leader who can drive large-scale technology delivery, cloud-native modernization, and AI-led engineering acceleration. This role requires a senior leader with strong delivery ownership, technical depth, client-facing confidence, and proven experience managing multi-million-dollar engineering portfolios.
The ideal candidate should have successfully led platform builds, legacy modernization, custom application development, and enterprise engineering programs across cloud environments. This is a delivery-led leadership role with strong emphasis on AI adoption across the SDLC, portfolio growth, P&L ownership, and senior stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of large engineering portfolios, including scope, budget, timelines, quality, risks, and client expectations.
- Lead cloud-native platform build, application modernization, and custom development programs across .NET, Java, Python, and modern distributed architectures.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards across architecture, code quality, DevSecOps, CI/CD, release management, and observability.
- Drive AI adoption across the software delivery lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, documentation, and incident response.
- Design and operationalize agentic AI workflows, RAG-based solutions, LLM orchestration, and AI-enabled delivery automation.
- Track and present measurable AI-driven improvements in velocity, quality, automation, and delivery efficiency.
- Manage portfolio-level P&L, revenue forecasting, margins, SOW governance, and commercial hygiene.
- Partner with practice, consulting, and client partner teams to identify account expansion and new business opportunities.
- Serve as the senior delivery point of contact for clients, engaging with CTO, CIO, VP, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead governance forums including steering committees, QBRs, escalation meetings, and delivery reviews.
- Build, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams while creating structured learning paths around AI, cloud, and modern engineering practices.
Required Experience
- 15 17 years of software engineering experience, with significant leadership experience managing multi-team, multi-million-dollar programs.
- Proven experience delivering $10M+ engineering portfolios with accountability for delivery, quality, margin, and client outcomes.
- Strong background in cloud-native engineering, platform modernization, and enterprise application development.
- Hands-on technical depth across one or more of the following:
- .NET Full Stack: C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure-native services
- Java Distributed Systems: Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes
- Python Stack: FastAPI, Django/Flask, pandas, NumPy, automation, data pipelines, AI/ML integrations
- Strong cloud delivery experience across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and observability.
- Practical exposure to AI engineering, including LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, tool-use patterns, and multi-agent workflows.
- Experience using AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar platforms across the SDLC.
- Strong understanding of how AI can improve engineering productivity while managing risk, quality, governance, and compliance.
- Proven experience with P&L ownership, revenue forecasting, margin management, SOWs, change orders, and commercial governance.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to manage executive stakeholders and difficult delivery conversations.
