Role Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Risk Manager to help identify, assess, monitor, and reduce enterprise risk, with a strong focus on data and cyber risk. This person will work closely with teams across business, technology, compliance, security, and operations to make sure risks are being managed in line with company expectations and regulatory requirements.
This role sits within a finance-led transformation program and acts as a trusted advisor to the business, helping teams stay aligned with internal policies, standards, and procedures. The work is highly collaborative and involves supporting multiple groups across the program.
What You’ll Do
- Advise the program on policy and standard adherence, especially around cyber, technology, and data-related risks.
- Track testing access and review test data processes to help protect sensitive information.
- Work with other risk professionals to carry out risk assessments and support mitigation efforts.
- Partner with process engineers, project managers, SOX teams, and subject matter experts as needed to keep risk and control activities moving forward.
- Help the team navigate business process risk and control during the transition from PeopleSoft to Workday.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in risk management, preferably in financial services or another regulated environment.
- Background in data risk, cyber risk, technology risk, or enterprise risk.
- Good understanding of internal controls, policy compliance, and risk assessments.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across different teams and levels.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently once up to speed.
Team Environment
The team is small, collaborative, and works closely with partner groups when needed. There are two process engineers on the team, and this role will work alongside risk advisors and other specialists across the broader program. The first month will be focused on learning the environment, after which the person will take ownership of the process.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with finance, technology, or data risk in a COF or similar environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise policies and procedures, which will help the person ramp up quickly.
- Experience supporting transformation programs or business process change initiatives.
