Teamcenter Platform Architecture 

Work Location: REMOTE           

Responsibilities

• Design, support, and optimize Teamcenter 2-tier, 4-tier, and web-based architectures.
• Manage and optimize Active Workspace (AWC), Enterprise Tier, and Web Tier environments.
• Support FSC/FMS, Dispatcher, and Multi-Site architectures.
• Manage BMIDE configurations, Teamcenter security models, TEM, and Deployment Center.
• Lead Teamcenter upgrades, migrations, patching, and environment refresh activities.

Performance Engineering

• Establish performance baselines and define SLAs and KPIs.
• Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Analyze critical business transactions such as:
  • User login
  • Search operations
  • BOM processing
  • JT visualization
  • File downloads
• Identify and isolate performance bottlenecks across:
  • Teamcenter application layers
  • Databases
  • Networks
  • Storage systems
• Develop capacity planning strategies and performance improvement roadmaps.

Monitoring & Observability

• Implement and manage Teamcenter Performance Monitor (TPM).
• Design and maintain synthetic transaction monitoring.
• Develop monitoring dashboards using:
  • Splunk
  • Grafana
  • Power BI
  • Nagios
• Monitor JMX metrics, process health, service health, and application logs.
• Configure performance thresholds, alerts, and trend analysis.
• Monitor Dispatcher queues, scheduled jobs, and Multi-Site replication activities.
• Create operational monitoring procedures and runbooks.

Database & Infrastructure Optimization

• Perform Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.
• Analyze execution plans, AWR reports, ASH reports, and database statistics.
• Optimize application server environments including Tomcat and WebSphere.
• Tune connection pools and perform JVM performance analysis.
• Conduct Linux and Windows performance diagnostics.
• Analyze and optimize:
  • CPU utilization
  • Memory consumption
  • Disk I/O
  • Storage latency
  • Network performance
• Support high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and load-balancing architectures.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of Teamcenter platform experience with a strong focus on architecture and performance engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience supporting enterprise-scale Teamcenter deployments.
• Proven experience conducting load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex Teamcenter performance issues.
• Experience establishing SLAs, KPIs, and performance baselines.
• Strong Oracle database performance tuning experience.
• Experience with Teamcenter Performance Monitor (TPM) and monitoring solutions.
• Expertise in infrastructure performance diagnostics across Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Teamcenter upgrades, migrations, and environment refreshes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large global Teamcenter Multi-Site deployments.
• Experience integrating enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud-hosted Teamcenter environments.
• Experience designing performance improvement roadmaps and platform modernization initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder communication and executive reporting skills.
