Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an Engineering Change Management (ECM) Contractor. This role supports a specific robotics program within the ECM team. The contractor will be responsible for managing the engineering change order lifecycle using Agile PLM, ensuring that all changes are documented, reviewed, and implemented correctly across manufacturing, supply chain, and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through all stages of the lifecycle for hardware and electromechanical assemblies.
- Conduct detailed reviews of ECO documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform traceability audits to ensure changes flow up to the required buy level.
- Validate Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, Approved Manufacturer Lists (AML), and other technical attributes.
- Coordinate preparation for Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, including supply chain attributes and compliance documentation.
- Support CCB meetings by preparing change impact assessments covering costs, lead times, and inventory disposition.
- Ensure revision control integrity between Agile PLM and CAD vault systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and field services.
- Monitor ECO cycle times against service-level agreements and drive on-time completion.
- Manage supplier change notifications and requests for engineering assistance.
- Maintain process documentation, best practices, and lessons learned for the program.
- Identify process bottlenecks and drive improvements with minimal oversight.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in managing engineering change order processes within a product lifecycle management system, such as Agile PLM.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with ECO processes, BOM structures, and revision control in a hardware development environment. Experience with CAD vault systems like Solidworks or 3DExperience is beneficial.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range for this position is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour. The final pay rate will be determined based on the applicant's experience and qualifications.
