• Title: Data Analyst 

• Location: Fully Remote 

• Contract: W2 only, 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full-time  

• Pay: $45/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match 

Overview 

This role delivers actionable insights to influence business strategy, planning, KPI development, and operational optimization. It requires strong data analysis, statistical expertise, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to stakeholders. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform advanced analysis on large, complex datasets to drive KPI and business performance improvements. 

• Develop methodologies, baseline metrics, and analytical approaches aligned to business goals. 

• Query and manage data using advanced SQL across multiple platforms while ensuring performance and accuracy. 

• Own data sourcing and validation, identifying inconsistencies, trends, and outliers. 

• Partner with data quality and architecture teams to improve data pipelines and automation. 

• Create clear, compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate analysis into insights and business impact. 

• Build effective visualizations and storytelling that highlight key drivers and strategy shifts. 

• Communicate insights, methodology, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Monitor KPI trends, identify performance shifts, and connect interdependent metrics. 

• Manage projects end-to-end, including planning, tracking (JIRA), documentation, and stakeholder alignment. 

• Present findings confidently and incorporate feedback from leadership and stakeholders. 
   

Required Skills & Experience 

• Strong analytical mindset with experience working with large, complex datasets. 

• Advanced SQL and knowledge of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing. 

• Ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations. 

• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., dashboards, presentations). 

• Strong business acumen and understanding of KPI development and performance tracking. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently. 

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. 

• Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-focused mindset. 

• Familiarity with project management processes and tools (e.g., JIRA).
