Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle PLM Consultant to help optimize and expand the utilization of our Oracle Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring Oracle PLM capabilities are aligned with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and product management needs.
*The ideal candidate will have experience managing product data, gathering business requirements, configuring PLM processes, troubleshooting system issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within Oracle PLM. This consultant will play a critical role in enhancing system functionality, improving data quality and governance, and supporting business transformation efforts.

Job Duties
• Work to become familiar with the existing DigitalOcean hardware development process
• Work to develop processes and procedures within Oracle Fusion to mirror the existing process
• Document those processes and procedures for use by other team members
• Work with vendor partners to onboard and integrate with the PLM for RFP management
• Ensure data integrity and consistency with data sources imported to the PLM, closing gaps in existing datasets and acquiring new data aggressively
• Work closely with the various teams that interface with the PLM to educate and familiarize them with the PLM tool
• Work to integrate the Oracle Fusion PLM with peer systems such as Shipyard, DCTrack, and Netbox
• Evangelize the PLM throughout the business and onboard new teams to it, ensuring their success at both adopting and working within the Oracle Fusion PLM framework
• Raise the quality bar in the delivery of cloud infrastructure by identifying industry best practices surrounding PLM and working to adopt them.
Reporting & Analytics
• Create reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide visibility into PLM processes and performance.
• Develop KPIs related to product development, engineering changes, product data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Support leadership with reporting and analytical insights to drive decision-making.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve system utilization and maximize Oracle PLM capabilities.
• Recommend process automation and workflow optimization initiatives.
• Support user training, knowledge transfer, and adoption efforts across the organization
Desired Experience/ Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle PLM (Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM and/or Oracle Agile PLM).
• Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management processes.
• Experience with:
o Product Data Management (PDM))
o Change Management processes
o Product development lifecycle
• Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience configuring Oracle PLM workflows and business processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and operational metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and business teams.
Additional Skills
Technical Degree (BS Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent practical experience; An insatiable passion for constant improvement. Hands on experience supporting Cloud Infra or SaaS environment preferred
