Job Description:

IT Asset manager:

Purpose of Position:

Peoples Bank is seeking an Information Technology Asset & Configuration Manager who is responsible for leading the enterprise IT asset management (ITAM) and configuration management (CMDB) programs. This role ensures full lifecycle governance of hardware, software, and technology assets, while maintaining stability, regulatory compliance and financial optimization.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Develop Policies, standards, procedures, and governance controls aligned to industry best practices (e.g. ISO19770).
  2. Own the CMDB Governance, Data integrity, and configuration item (CI) lifecycle process.
  3. Maintain accurate asset inventory and ownership assignments.
  4. Lead end to end lifecycle management for IT hardware (HAM), and software (SAM).
  5. Establish and enforce standardized onboarding processes for new applications and technologies.
  6. Ensure accuracy and completeness of metadata captured in the CMDB (ownership, environment, dependencies, data sensitivity, etc.)
  7. Oversee formal Offboarding and decommissioning process. Including but not limited to removal of assets from the CMDB, infrastructure retirement, data disposal/ destruction, etc.
  8. Establish proactive EOL reporting and planning for refresh and upgrade cycles of both hardware and software.
  9. Coordinate monthly EOL tracking and remediation sessions to capture remediation actions and track ongoing progress.
  10. Establish KPI's and reporting dashboards for Overall Asset lifecycle program.
  11. Ensure automated discovery and reconciliation processes are implemented and monitored.
  12. Conduct regular data quality reviews and remediation activities.
  13. Other duties as needed or assigned by Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  2. Minimum seven (10) years' experience in IT Asset Management or configuration management
  3. Minimum two (2) years' experience leading enterprise ITAM or CMDB programs
  4. Familiarity with ITSM platforms
  5. Strong understanding of ITIL principles
  6. Strong Knowledge of hardware lifecycle, software licensing models, and IT governance frameworks.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  8. Excellent planning skills with attention to detail
  9. Proficient with the MS Office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word
