Integration Developer (Workato Specialist)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer with deep expertise in Workato to design, build, and maintain seamless integrations across our core corporate and HR systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal Corporate Systems and HR teams to automate workflows, build custom enterprise connectors, and ensure business-critical application data flows effortlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Workato Recipe Development: Design, build, and deploy robust Workato recipes that automate end-to-end business workflows across enterprise systems.
- Custom Connector Creation: Build, test, and maintain custom connectors using the Workato Developer SDK when out-of-the-box connectors are unavailable.
- Lifecycle & Instance Management: Oversee integration lifecycle management, managing deployments and code promotion across development, testing, and production environments.
- Documentation & Data Mapping: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data mappings, transformation logic, and recipe architectures.
- Platform Health & Monitoring: Monitor system performance, track task consumption, and troubleshoot job errors or failures to maintain high uptime.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Partner with end-users and business partners through UAT to validate all functional use cases before production releases.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with team members and key stakeholders regarding project updates, scheduled deployments, and system impacts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Core Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Workato development experience (building recipes, triggers, and actions).
- Demonstrated experience integrating major enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Zoho).
- Experience integrating with Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID, Okta).
Technical Expertise
- APIs & Architectures: Deep technical understanding of API design principles, standard integration patterns, and REST/SOAP web services architectures.
- Authentication Standards: Strong proficiency with auth protocols including OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, and API keys.
- Data & Querying: Solid understanding of data formats (JSON, XML) and relational databases (SQL experience strongly preferred).
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional logical thinking, analytical skills, and root-cause troubleshooting abilities.
