Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and enterprise application support. The candidate should have strong experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and database solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
Develop optimized SQL queries for large-volume transactional and reporting systems.
Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Analyze execution plans and improve database performance using indexing and optimization techniques.
Develop and maintain ETL/data processing scripts and database interfaces.
Work with business analysts and application teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform database debugging, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
Participate in database design, data modeling, and schema development.
Develop data migration and conversion scripts when required.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Support database deployments, releases, and production environments.
Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.

Required Skills

10+ years of strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database and relational database concepts.
Strong experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Cursors, Collections, and Dynamic SQL.
Expertise in complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, analytical functions, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of indexes, partitions, execution plans, and query optimization.
Experience with database design, normalization, and data modeling.
Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting is preferred.
Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration is a plus.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Oracle 12c/19c or higher.
Experience with large-scale enterprise applications and high-volume databases.
Knowledge of Oracle RAC, partitioning, and database performance monitoring.
Exposure to Java/.NET application integration with Oracle databases.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, Jira, or other development/DevOps tools.
Experience in financial, healthcare, insurance, or other enterprise domains is a plus.
