Summary

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide high-quality end-user support in a dynamic business environment. This role requires strong technical expertise across Windows systems, Microsoft 365, and enterprise applications, along with excellent customer service and time-management skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple priorities independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced desktop and end-user support, troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, printing, and network-related issues.
  • Support and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Office 365 applications and Exchange Online.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues through research, analysis, and independent problem solving.
  • Deliver clear, professional communication to end users, technical teams, and management.
  • Manage multiple support requests and projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues and improve service delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, or Systems Administration roles.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows 10 environments and Microsoft Office 365 applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Exchange Online administration.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Durham, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $37.00/hr.
