Adobe Senior Data Analyst

Senior Data Analyst to join a high-impact delivery pod supporting a major client in financial services. The engagement centers on a critical data source migration — transitioning from a legacy internal data platform to a vendor-sourced digital/web data feed. The analyst is critical to validating that the same data elements flow correctly between the legacy source and the new vendor source, ensuring no gaps exist. This role is accountable for translating business objectives into clear data requirements, defining KPIs and success metrics, and ensuring delivered data products are analytically sound, governed, and ready for consumption. The client''''''''s subject matter experts will directly ramp up and onboard this analyst. 

Key Responsibilities 

Business & Requirements Translation 

• Partner with client product managers and subject matter experts to understand analytical and measurement needs 
• Define business requirements, KPIs, and success criteria 
• Translate requirements into data contracts, acceptance criteria, and source-to-target mappings 

Data Validation & Gap Analysis 

• Lead the gap analysis between the legacy data platform and the new vendor-sourced datasets — this is the central analytical workstream of the engagement 
• Validate that all data elements flowing from the legacy platform are accurately replicated from the new source 
• Identify and document discrepancies, missing fields, and data quality issues 
• Collaborate with engineers on fact and dimension design to ensure analytical soundness 
• Support semantic modeling and analytics readiness 

Governance & Enablement 

• Support data governance alignment including definitions, ownership, and usage guidance 
• Contribute to catalog metadata, business definitions, and documentation 
• Assist downstream analytics teams with data readiness and usage validation 

Collaboration & Delivery 

• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups — integrating into the client''''''''s existing Agile cadence 
• Work alongside the client''''''''s scrum master and technical leads 
• Support a phased delivery approach across multiple workstreams 

Required Experience & Skills 

• 6–10+ years in analytics, BI, or data product roles 
• Digital/web analytics data knowledge is highly preferred — understanding clickstream, behavioral, and digital interaction data will be a major asset for the gap analysis work 
• Advanced SQL and strong analytical reasoning skills — very strong SQL is a baseline expectation 
• Experience defining KPIs and working with curated analytical data models 
• Familiarity with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouses (facts and dimensions modeling) 
• Cloud experience (AWS) — foundational understanding expected 
• Python — basic scripting skills beneficial 
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences 
• Prior experience with Adobe Analytics or similar digital analytics platforms 
• Exposure to data governance or cataloging tools 
• Financial services domain experience 
• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop environments
