Job Description: Workday Specialized Technical Consultant About the RoleThe
Workday Specialized Technical Consultant is an individual contributor responsible for advanced configuration, optimization, and technical problem-solving within Workday's Talent & Performance and HCM modules. This role partners closely within the HR Technology team and with stakeholder partners to deliver scalable, high-quality Workday solutions, with a strong emphasis on configuration expertise, data integrity, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Configure solutions for Workday Talent, Performance, and HCM modules, ensuring design is scalable, secure, and aligned to business needs.
- Design and implement complex configuration changes with a strong understanding of upstream and downstream impacts.
- Serve as a consultative partner to stakeholders, providing guidance on best-practice configuration approaches.
- Execute and support quality assurance and regression testing for new functionality.
- Ensure configuration changes adhere to established governance and technical standards.
- Support testing, deployment, and stabilization activities tied to Workday releases and enhancements.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for configurations, processes, and support procedures.
- Contribute to the Workday knowledge base to support consistent delivery and cross-team learning.
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications- 5-8+ years of experience supporting and configuring Workday, with deep expertise in Talent & Performance, including Skills functionality.
- Proven ability to independently design, implement, and troubleshoot complex Workday configurations.
- Strong understanding of HR talent processes, data structures, and system dependencies.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for technical excellence.
- Exposure to adjacent modules (e.g., Core HCM, Learning, Reporting) to support cross-functional solutions.
