Job: PACS Consultant – Cardiology & Hemodynamics (Change PACS Specialist)
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Remote - Travel required 1 Week/Month) – Client will take care of the All the expenses.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced PACS Consultant with specialized expertise in Cardiology PACS, Hemodynamics systems, and PACS migration/transformation projects. The consultant will be responsible for planning, implementing, configuring, integrating, and supporting enterprise imaging solutions focused on cardiovascular imaging workflows. The role requires deep knowledge of Cardiology PACS, Hemodynamics applications, image migration, data governance, workflow optimization, and interoperability standards.
Key Responsibilities
PACS Transformation & Migration
- Lead Cardiology and Hemodynamics PACS migration and consolidation projects.
- Perform assessment of existing PACS infrastructure, workflows, and clinical requirements.
- Develop migration strategies, cutover plans, validation procedures, and rollback plans.
- Coordinate data migration activities, including image archives, reports, measurements, and structured data.
- Ensure successful integration of migrated studies with downstream clinical systems.
Cardiology PACS Administration
- Configure, implement, and optimize Cardiology PACS solutions.
- Support acquisition, storage, retrieval, and distribution of cardiovascular imaging studies.
- Manage user access, system configurations, workflows, and security controls.
- Monitor system performance and resolve application-related issues.
Hemodynamics Systems Support
- Implement and support hemodynamic monitoring systems used in Cath Lab and EP environments.
- Integrate hemodynamic systems with PACS, EHR, CVIS, and analytics platforms.
- Troubleshoot data acquisition, transmission, and reporting issues.
- Validate hemodynamic data accuracy and system interoperability.
System Integration
- Design and support integrations using:
- DICOM
- HL7
- FHIR (preferred)
- IHE Profiles
- APIs and Web Services
- Collaborate with EHR, RIS, CVIS, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Perform interface testing, troubleshooting, and workflow validation.
Clinical Workflow Optimization
- Analyze current-state workflows and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with cardiologists, cath lab staff, radiologists, and clinical stakeholders.
- Develop best practices for image lifecycle management and enterprise imaging strategies.
- Support workflow automation initiatives.
Testing & Validation
- Create and execute:
- Test plans
- Integration testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Migration validation
- Production readiness testing
- Ensure data accuracy, image integrity, and system performance post-deployment.
Documentation & Training
- Develop technical and operational documentation.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years of PACS administration, implementation, or consulting experience.
- 3+ years supporting Cardiology PACS environments.
- Experience with Hemodynamics systems in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology settings.
- Proven experience in PACS migration, consolidation, or replacement projects.
- Experience working within hospital and healthcare environments.
