Overview
Alabama Power is seeking an OutSystems Developer to support the development of the Asset Information Management System (AIMS), a strategic initiative designed to replace legacy asset management functionality previously supported through Maximo. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling a modern application that may ultimately serve as an enterprise-wide solution across Southern Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of the AIMS application using OutSystems.
- Partner with project leadership, business stakeholders, and data analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and develop user interfaces, workflows, integrations, and application functionality.
- Create user stories, technical documentation, backlog items, and development tasks.
- Participate in requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal SMEs and leverage guidance from existing development resources during knowledge transfer.
- Help ensure application scalability and adoption across a growing user base.
- Contribute to future releases and continuous improvement initiatives following the initial launch.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with full-stack web application development.
- Experience with .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, or related technologies.
- Ability to learn new low-code development platforms quickly.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience participating in Agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous OutSystems experience.
- Experience with enterprise asset management, utility operations, or inspection systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, Databricks, APIs, or data integrations.
- Experience leading application design sessions and technical discussions.
