Epic Program Manager to lead complex, enterprise-level healthcare technology initiatives. This role focuses on
Epic EHR implementations, optimization programs, and regulatory-driven projects that directly impact clinical workflows, patient safety, operational performance, and executive strategy.
The Program Manager will serve as the strategic connector between IT, clinical operations, and executive leadership-driving alignment, enabling decision-making, and ensuring timely, compliant program delivery. This is an opportunity to influence mission-critical transformation within a large, dynamic healthcare environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership- Lead large-scale Epic initiatives spanning multiple modules and clinical/operational departments
- Oversee regulatory, compliance, and patient-safety-driven technology programs
- Manage multi-workstream portfolios with enterprise visibility and significant organizational impact
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement- Serve as the primary escalation and coordination point for senior leadership
- Develop executive dashboards, briefings, and high-quality decision-making materials
- Build alignment across clinical, operational, and IT stakeholder groups
Delivery & Governance- Own program planning, resource alignment, timeline management, and risk mitigation
- Implement structured governance frameworks for complex healthcare initiatives
- Coordinate closely with vendors, technical partners, and internal teams
Organizational Navigation- Navigate politically sensitive environments with diplomacy and strategic awareness
- Drive consensus across groups with competing priorities
- Resolve complex stakeholder conflicts with sound judgment and tact

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years of healthcare IT project/program leadership
- Demonstrated experience leading Epic implementation or optimization programs
- Proven success managing enterprise-level, multi-workstream initiatives
- Strong executive communication and reporting experience
- Track record delivering high-risk regulatory or compliance-driven programs
Preferred Qualifications- Epic certification(s) or advanced platform knowledge
- PMP, PgMP, or similar program leadership certification
- Lean/Six Sigma experience
- Familiarity with enterprise workflow tools (ServiceNow preferred)
Required Screening Criteria- Healthcare IT experience
- Epic implementation or optimization involvement
- Program or multi-project portfolio ownership
- Experience interacting directly with executive leadership
- Exposure to regulatory/compliance initiatives
Preferred Screening Criteria- Epic certification or advanced workflow knowledge
- PMP or Lean certification
- Vendor or partner coordination experience
Automatic Disqualifiers- Project management experience outside healthcare only
- No Epic exposure
- Only small-scale project leadership
- No executive reporting experience
Nice-to-Have Experience (Hiring Manager Notes)- ServiceNow PPM experience (backend navigation, ticketing)
- Prior experience in a UC system, academic medical center, or similar large healthcare environment
- Familiarity with MS Teams, integrated SharePoint, and modern collaboration ecosystems
- Experience with clinical technology or biomedical equipment programs
- Adaptive, modern program management style (not "old-school PM" methodology)
