Job Title: Senior DB2 LUW Application DBA

Job Overview:
Requirement/Must Have:
- 7+ years of experience in Database Administration.
- Strong Python and Shell scripting skills for automation.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Bitbucket, Git, and Autosys.
- Experience with DB2 LUW and DB2 DPF clusters.
- Experience with Snowflake database administration.
- Knowledge of data migration from on-premises to Snowflake.
- Ability to perform basic Sybase database monitoring for on-call rotation.
- Experience managing large-scale data archival pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like VS Code or Copilot is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production Application DBA support to meet high-demand regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Perform performance monitoring and tuning across DPF clusters.
- Design and execute data purging strategies.
- Implement space reclamation strategies for very large tables post-purge.
- Manage backup, recovery, upgrade, and disaster recovery planning.
- Execute data migrations from DB2 and Greenplum to Snowflake for very large datasets.
- Maintain continuous data archival pipelines via SparkSQL-based tooling.
- Manage over 700 scheduled jobs per environment using Autosys.
- Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week every 2-3 months.
- Operate independently to define and act on tasks based on evolving regulatory needs.
