The Opportunity
StaffRight Associates is recruiting a premier opportunity for a Senior Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to innovate within a dynamic, award-winning work environment. In this role, you will architect and build cutting-edge technology that serves a diverse global industrial base, creating high-performance products engineered to withstand the most grueling environmental conditions.
Joining this team means entering a culture that has been formally recognized as a "Top Place to Work." You will collaborate with a progressive leadership team that actively rejects the status quo, fostering an atmosphere where innovation is expected and "the way we''ve always done it" is never an excuse. This organization is currently in an exciting phase of physical and technical expansion, offering industry-leading perks—including high-end culinary benefits and a comprehensive rewards package—that set them apart from standard manufacturing firms.
What You’ll Do
Architect complex schematics and high-density PCB layouts for sophisticated embedded digital control systems.
Drive the hardware lifecycle by managing component selection, constraint definition, and rigorous DFM/DFT protocols.
Synthesize robust microcontroller I/O configurations and signal conditioning pathways for critical serial communication buses (SPI, I²C, UART).
Collaborate with firmware engineering teams to harmonize hardware-software integration, timing requirements, and initial board bring-up.
Execute comprehensive validation plans, encompassing functional testing and EMC/environmental pre-compliance to ensure total system reliability.
Resolve intricate hardware challenges through forensic troubleshooting and the implementation of permanent corrective actions.
Champion the transition to production by partnering with manufacturing units to streamline assembly and finalize first-article reviews.
Formalize production-ready documentation, maintaining meticulous revision control for BOMs, cost projections, and interface specifications.
What You Bring
Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
Industry Tenure: 10+ years of deep technical experience with a primary focus on digital circuit architecture.
Technical Versatility: Strong familiarity with analog circuits and power electronics; experience with harsh-environment protection is essential.
Design Tool Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in integrated design suites (e.g., Altium) for schematic capture and PCB layout.
Analytical Skillset: Knowledge of circuit simulation (Plexim, Simulink, or LTspice) and FPGA/CPLD development (VHDL/Verilog) is highly preferred.
Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of IPC-610 standards and UL/CSA regulatory frameworks.
Mindset: A structured problem-solver with an ownership mentality and the ability to communicate effectively across multi-functional engineering teams.
