Job Description

We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile delivery, Python, Jira, Bitbucket, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and a proven ability to translate business needs into actionable technical specifications and deliver working solutions across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams.


• Analyze current processes and systems, assess business models, and evaluate integration with technology.


• Gather, refine, and document requirements into clear specifications and user stories.


• Create prototypes and wireframes to validate solutions with business and technical teams.


• Lead and support IT project work, including planning, execution, and revision of plans as needs change.


• Drive Agile ceremonies, backlog management, and collaboration using Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.


• Apply prompt engineering and AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate analysis and development.


• Produce high-level designs, APIs/web services documentation, DIDs, use cases, and traceability matrices.


• Support defect triage and partner with lines of business on research and gap analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Agile tools and practices, including Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.


• Hands-on experience with Python and API/web services documentation.


• Working knowledge of GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools and prompt engineering.


• Clear understanding of Agile/Lean methodologies and Scrum practices.


• Experience with Speech IVR or other client/user-facing systems (online or mobile) as an analyst, developer, designer, or tester.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5-6 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Genesys Cloud CX and/or Genesys Architect, or related certification.


• Background in mobile or web-based software development projects.


• Knowledge of Agile Lean SDLC and iterative development lifecycles.


• Ability to operate in a high-paced environment.

Additional Details:

• Approved work location is Jersey City. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. Onsite day 1.


• Target start date in May. Glider ID verification applies.


• Max 3 submissions per vendor.
