Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a JavaScript Engineer.
Summary:
We are seeking a JavaScript Engineer with strong experience in Node.js and React to support the development of scalable, high-performance web applications. This role will focus on building reusable components, improving application performance, and contributing to modern front-end architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain scalable web applications and frameworks
* Design and build reusable components, libraries, and APIs
* Optimize applications for speed, performance, and cross-platform compatibility
* Implement automation for builds, testing, and deployment processes
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
* Review code, identify issues, and ensure best practices are followed
* Support end users and provide technical guidance as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience with JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, and React
* Solid understanding of front-end development concepts and web standards
* Experience with modern tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, NPM/Yarn)
* Knowledge of component-based architecture and reusable code design
* Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, etc.)
* Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Experience building scalable, enterprise-level applications
* Familiarity with performance optimization and benchmarking
* Exposure to open-source development or reusable library creation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
