Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Support Engineer for a 9+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. Summary: This is a critical trader facing role supporting a Front Office Global Markets business, requiring a motivated and flexible individual to work in close collaboration with Application Developers, peer Support Leads, Application Managers, Offshore teams and Infrastructure Support. This is a high-profile role working in a high intensity environment which demands an individual to display Business and Technical acumen, the ability to assimilate lots of information quickly, with focus on Incident and Problem Management whilst being highly adaptable to a changing trading environment.
Responsibilities: - Serve as the first point of contact for end business users in FICC and Equities for all intraday risk issues
- Troubleshoot complex end-to-end flow of trades and market data updates
- Take ownership and delivery of onboarding support for new lines of business and workflows
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
- Proactively identify and resolve problem hotspots
- Develop tools and drive efficiency/stability improvements
- Manage incidents and problems
- Handle event management (Monitoring and Alert life cycle Management)
- Define and drive monitoring improvements and technical processes
- Manage capacity, performance, and resiliency
- Develop tools for in-house projects
- Manage stakeholder communication
- Handle knowledge management
Requirements: - Hands-on experience providing direct support to front office trading desks
- Business knowledge of fixed income products
- Understanding of market data flows
- Experience with SQL and Python
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Experience with Monitoring Tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and ITRS Geneos
- Experience with Grid Computing
- Proficiency with Ansible and ReactJS
Pay Range: $53.52 - $61.52 per hour
